For the Campoamor Scholarship for Study Abroad, I proposed to create a resource that would help future students get to know a little more about the LBAT Japan Summer Study Abroad program. This applies to both students who have decided or who are still deciding if they want to join the program. The information session provides a wealth of information, but there's only so much you can retain in your brain afterwards.
For static content, there is a great FAQ page with very important topics, but I wanted something a little more personal. For the students still deciding, I hope this blog will give a good impression on the fun activities and experiences that will undoubtedly come. For students already decided, I'm aiming to highlight some things that might be important to note - perhaps things you might want to bring, things you might want to study, things that you might forget.
Posts will be written in both English and Japanese, though they won't be the same content (i.e. they won't be translated word for word). This is both for my practice as well as a gauge to see how language acquisition progresses through the length of the summer program. We all know how no one really likes to read long blocks of text, so I'll try and keep it to a minimum. In keeping the blog light but interesting, I'll try to include as much media as possible. This could be in the form of both pictures as well as video!
